|  Our 5th grade class got an assignment to write about someone we think is a hero. Our hero could not be a member of our family, but it could be an athlete, a fictional one like Spiderman, or a real person.
People that play sports I think might be good, but they are not someone I would think of as a hero, they get paid for what they do.
Well, my hero is 11 years old and is named Liam Hannon. Liam lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts. When Liam was 10 years old he decided to help homeless people by packing them a lunch, in a sack where he would decorate the sack, or put messages on the outside of the sack like "eat and smile", or a friend of his made a drawing of a dinosaur and wrote "Here’s a T-rex cuz I like you". Liam stated with doing 20 lunches his first week, and every week made more. Now he has his own food cart he is trying to get a food truck so that him and his dad, his family, friends and neighbors can give more of these free lunches to people that need them. Liam did not get paid for doing this, and did it because he wanted to help people, to me that is a real hero and that is who my hero is for this class assignement.
